Youth Scholarships
VFW youth scholarships provide students the opportunity to apply their own ideals, principles, and experiences to reflections on United States history centered around a given patriotic theme.
Each year the VFW honors three young people - from Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Sea Scouts or Venturing Crew - who have demonstrated exceptional citizenship in school, scouting and the community.
The VFW Post 5850, Eufaula Al. has chosen MSG (R) Teddy Grace as the Teacher of the Year for 2024. MSG Grace has been the JROTC instructor at Eufaula High School for 2 years. He proudly served our country in the Army for 27 years. The efforts in what MSG Grace has done and how he has structured the JROTC program here in Eufaula shows the true potential of his leadership abilities. These students are the future of our military, and under MSG Grace's leadership, they will thrive to become leaders themselves. MSG Grace has set a precedence for anyone stepping into the role as a JROTC instructor to follow. This is why we have selected MSG Grace as the Teacher of the Year. Thank you for your service!
