A satirical reflection by Author/Artist Phil Fehrenbacher
Phil enlisted in the Army in 1965 where he served for years in Vietnam. He became a graphic designer and has worked for the state of Oregon for 26 years. He retired in 2003 and started the Cartoon "In-Country". The cartoons reflect his experiences during his tour of duty in South Vietnam.
There is a new cartoon everyday.
Proper Flag Retirement,As we honor our colors of the USA and take the time to ensure they are displayed and taken care of, we also pay respect and honor the flags that are tattered or faded. We maintain a collection point at the post and will happily receive those flags that need to be laid to rest. We conduct ceremonial procedures to do just that. Each and every Flag Retirement we take serious and always welcome anyone that would like to participate or observe this ceremony. We conduct them at our Post about every three months or more if needed. The Flags can be dropped in our collection box outside the post or handed to any member of the Post, VFW or Auxiliary. Any questions please feel free to reach out to the Commander or Quartermaster.Commander Contact information.Shaun Canfield, 1SG (RET)210-563-6814
